marqetr studios, is our female-focused content creation arm that is on a mission to create, produce and market content for women, and about women. We started it as an extension to the marketplace because we are passionate about helping more women become published authors, podcasters, and to tell their untold stories through short films.

marqetr academy
marqetr academy is our learning hub and center of excellence. Coming in Q4 2025, the academy is where freelance professionals get certified and upskill/reskill. While its main purpose is to primarily support the Preferred Freelancer Program, and maintain the overall standards of professionals on the marketplace, the carefully curated self-paced courses, will be made available to the public when it is launched.

About Us
Founded by Mawarni Adam, marqetr was first conceptualized in 2015, as an on-demand platform to help women and mothers gain access to flexible employment so they can take care of their families while still striving for a career. Then, in 2020, she materialized the concept, founded the company, and opened it up to everyone and not just women when remote work and work-from-home reached unprecendented popularity, due to the pandemic. We then grew at such a fast rate in the last few years that we lost sight of our core purpose of championing the flexible work community. We have since returned to that original vision.
Beyond these pages, you'll see our interim solution while we work towards increasing automations and integrating an AI-powered platform, to enable the best matching and deliverable outcomes for both hirers and professionals. We encourage you to sign-up to take advantage of being early adopters.

marqetr's milestones at a glance:
Dec 2020 : Founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia as a 2-sided internet marketplace platform for businesses to connect to top marketing freelance talents.
Aug 2021 : Raised our first external funding via equity crowdfunding (ECF).
Sept 2022 : MARQETR Inc. was incorporated in the USA and the company shifted focus to North America for fundraising initiatives and basic operations.
Sept 2023 : Pivoted our business model to become a content production and marketing company focusing on Asian and Asian-American women, powered by top creative freelance talents.
Dec 2023 : Raised our second external funding. Operations fully shifted to NYC under a new brand name.
April 2025 : The marqetr brand reinstated and operations resumed under the founding name.
